Basketball madness and craziness Part 1

After the bitter stories for each sides of University Athletic Association of the Philippines or UAAP, the Ateneo De Manila University bagged its fourth straight crown after defeating FEU tamarraws by a whooping margin of 15.6(!) points in 2 games. A sabotage because of huge margin but to think Ateneo is a really tough team to beat. No wonder they have the best program ever formed in UAAP/NCAA history. With this crown, Ateneo enters the elites who won the 4-straight titles in a row. Congrats Blue Eagles!

NBA madness and craziness Part 1

Still NBA season in jeopardy, talks and meetings for equality of salary caps is still on going and no positive results for us fans. I doubtly believe that thia lock out may end this October (normally NBA games starts on last week of October). No more unnecesarry dumb actions or alibia mr. Commissioner! Speculation and rumors surrounding NBA stars today. Like Kobe playing for an Italian team? Gasol brothers practicing for WFC Barcelona. China's CBA shipping Denver stars to the Forbidden City. Deron and Sasha sign on Turkish teams respectively. Wow! These craze cause a lot for NBA. We fans are losing here! The interest and satisfaction will also jeopardize when this NBA lock out would not end. Now, as a numero uno fan of this league, I bend my knees and to ask this madness. Please David Stern!

Viva Barce! Hail to the Champions of Champions in Europe!

Good morning people of Football! I really miss blogging but time is not on my side these past few months. I can't even take a peek on my blog these past few days that's why my blog wasn't updating. Btw, I have to reconfigure my blog because of redundancy or something to improve its quality. I need to change what I've typed before and make it a sensible one. Last week, Barcelona FC were crowned as Europe/world's finest Football club. By beating Manchester United on their own soil in London the Catalonia based squad were eager to win the 2nd title in 3 years. Barcelona FC were coached by a former Barce himself Jose "Pep" Guardiola. No wonder Pep built an indestructable machine in the name of Football Club Barcelona. For recent years, we didn't saw Football team who can dominate the sports for almost 3 years. Right now Barcelona showing that they are the best team that ever formed in Football history. It even surpassed the time eras of Ronaldinho of Barcelona also, Real Madrid's Beckham, Zidanne, Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos and even the era of Arsenal's gunner Thierry Henry. They dominate all aspect of the game. From passing, getting the ball, possession and even for shooting percentage no wonder that FCB are the team to beat in Football. Perfect combination of players walked on the soil of New Wembley Stadium last May 30. Lionel Messi, Xavi Hernandez, Inesta, David Villa and Pedro who triggered the unblemished and non-stop attacking for Barcelona. Their attacking style blossomed an early goal for Barclona as Pedro scored 1-nil. But my team the Manchester United didn't showed any negative object as they scored a goal via Javier Hernandez passed for Wayne Rooney and beating the Catalonia Keeper Victor Valdes. GOAAALLL! But that was the last time that ManU threatened the Barcelona's defense. 2nd half on the way and Barcelona are showing the intensity as they scored a lovely and delightful picture perfect goal by the 'Little Magician' Lionel Messi after beating the Ducth and scoring his first goal on English soil. Another goal was given for the team of Barcelona as David Villa of World Champs spain delivered a ferocious top-corner kicked that secured Barcelona to win the title. No wonder Barcelona really amused and entertained people how they play Football. Viva Barce! But for ManUnited fans... "We will come back and bring the trophy back to English soil"

Manchester United bags English Premiere League

Good morning people of this world especially to Manchester United fanatics and Sir Alex Ferguson's fans who are celebrating their win against their bitter rival Chelsea! This was a great day for everyone who love Manchester United. Just minutes ago, Red Devils secure a decisive win to clinch their 19th English Premiere League surpassing the 18th of their also said rival Liverpool FC. It was a mere lucky for the Red Devils as Javier "Chicharito" Hernadez strikes for goal splitting the 2 defenders of Chelsea and beating Petr Cech in a span of only 36 secs. A forward pass from the Korean midfielder Park Ji Sung plus a miscommunication of 2 defenders of Chelsea results an early goal for the United. Another goal was intercepted on the net of Chelsea and in the hands of Petr Cech. As Nemanaja Vidic scores a goal via header from Ryan Giggs' short cross. They led throughout the half with no goal for Chelsea in the scoreboard. Another thrilling 45 minutes for both teams. Yellow cards and fouls have been committed all game long. You can see the eagerness to win the game for both teams. It's been no tomorrow game for the Chelsea and Manchester United. Although, ManU leading the game you can't underestimate the power of Chelsea to attack and attack the defense of Edwin Van der Sar. It merely threaten the lead of Manchester United as Chelsea scores a goal via strong kick from Yuri Zhirkov and a pass from Midfielder Frank Lampard. Throughout the 2nd half, Chelsea threatens Manchester to tie the game but the Reds didn't give any opportunities to bounce back the Blue Lions. And the final whistle had been blown and Red Devils celebrated in front of its home crowd after a win from their bitter rival Chelsea. Now, we will wait for the official awarding of the trophy. Go ManU! Go Red Devils!

Staying alive on Sunday. L.A Lakers down 0-3.

Good morning people of this Earth and to all L.A nation who are depressed right now! Unbelievable sequence at the end of the week. Our 2 time defending champs suffered the most heartbreaking lost of their career. (I think so) There were no struggles instead pure heart of a champion showed by the 2 time defending champs a while ago. It so damn to imagine that Dallas outplayed the defense of all out Los Angeles Lakers. I think the morale of the defending champs is there. Nothing to worry about there chemistry, shooting and hustle plus heart. But in that game Dallas showed that they were in serious business to thrash the defending champs and go to the NBA Finals once again. The Lakers didn't showed any weaknesses all throughout the game. (except the last play of Fisher and Odom) They played excellent ball. Btw, no 98 team in NBA Playoffs have come back and rallied to win a series in a 0-3 situation. It is not good to accept the fact but somehow and someway MIRACLES happen. Right? Just Kobe said (I think on press conference after the game), "I might be sick in the head or crazy or thrown off or something like that, but I still think we are going to win this series." Very positive mindset for the Lakers superstar. We know that it's not easy to win games. But if the world greatest player said these thoughts. Somehow you'll realize that we can do more and better than we expect before. But on the other side of the story, it is sad for the 13th time champion (11 for coaching and 2 as a player)  Phil Jackson if they lost to Dallas on game 4. But I think Good vibes rather than low morale for L.A Lakers after down 3 in a row. They know how to bounce back coz they are not 2-time defending champs for no reason. Last word, L.A will beat Dallas! Miracles happen sometime and somehow just believe!

Seve Ballesteros dies at the age of 54 (@Telegraph)

The Spanish golfer Seve Ballesteros has died after a severe deterioration in his condition following treatment for a brain tumour diagnosed in 2008.

Ballesteros, 54, a five-times major winner, had been recuperating at his home in northern Spain after four operations on the tumour and a course of chemotherapy.

A statement on the Spanish golfer’s website, seveballesteros.com read: “Today, at 2.10 a.m. Spanish time, Seve Ballesteros passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Pedreña.

“The Ballesteros family is very grateful for all the support and gestures of love that have been received since Seve was diagnosed with a brain tumour on 5th October 2008 at Madrid Hospital la Paz.

“At this time the family asks for respect and privacy at such a painful time. Thank you very much.”

Regarded by many as golf's greatest shot-maker, Ballesteros won 87 titles worldwide, 50 of them on the European Tour.

A winner of three British Opens and two Masters titles, he also helped revive Europe's fortunes in the biennial Ryder Cup team competition.

European Tour chief executive George O'Grady said: "This is such a very sad day for all who love golf.

"Seve's unique legacy must be the inspiration he has given to so many to watch, support, and play golf, and finally to fight a cruel illness with equal flair, passion, and fierce determination.

"We have all been so blessed to live in his era. He was the inspiration behind The European Tour."

On Friday the world of golf held its breath after Ballesteros's family reported a “severe deterioration” in his neurological condition.

At the Spanish Open in Barcelona fellow Spaniards José-María Olazabal and Miguel Angel Jiménez played together in sombre mood. Twenty-four hours earlier, Olazabal, who last visited the wheelchair-bound Ballesteros a fortnight ago, learnt from Ballesteros’s daughter, Carmen, that his mentor’s condition had taken a grave turn. The European Tour press officer in Barcelona reported that Olazabal and Jiménez were in tears after completing yesterday’s round.

Ballesteros had been battling brain cancer since collapsing at the airport in Madrid in October 2008. He underwent four operations to remove a brain tumour and was in hospital for two months. Though Ballesteros’s health improved in 2009 as a result of chemotherapy, his treatment was not a cure, only a means to prolong life.

Ballesteros had hoped to be well enough to contest the four-hole Champions Trophy at the Open at St Andrews last year but was unable to travel. When he failed to attend a charity dinner in London in honour of his Seve Ballesteros Foundation towards the end of last year, concern over his wellbeing increased.

The emergence of Ballesteros in the Seventies lifted golf to an unprecedented level of popularity in his country and across Europe, sowing the seeds for an unrecognisable expansion of the European Tour. Ballesteros won an incredible 50 times on the European Tour, a record that might never been breached.

His performance at Birkdale in the 1976 Open Championship tying for second with Jack Nicklaus behind winner Johnny Miller while only 19, alerted the world to his genius.

Three years later he won his first major, the Open at Royal Lytham, carding a birdie at the 16th after driving into a car park. Later that year he made his debut in the Ryder Cup, the central figure in the first European selection.

On his appointment as Ryder Cup captain this year Olazabal said his dearest wish was that Ballesteros would accompany the European team in defence of the trophy in Chicago next year. In 15 games together Ballesteros and Olazabal lost only twice. At Celtic Manor last October Ballesteros communicated by phone while his picture hung on the wall in Europe’s dressing room.

Manchester United routed Schalke 04 4-1 (6-1 on aggregate)

Good afternoon sports fanatics especially to the fans of red devils! It's a hot afternoon as usual here in the Philippines. It's summer really! Darn it! About 2 days ago, the Manchester United secured their spot at Wembley after thrashing the German based squad FC Schalke 4-1 on their second leg of their semifinals match. After a decisive win by Manchester United on their first leg that routed Schalke 2-nil. The blues tried to bounce back their poor performance during the first leg at Schalke to regain their composure. After Sir. Alex Ferguson resting his key players for the upcoming Chelsea game in their English Premiere League. (most critical time for the red devils on EPL) The Reds didn't stop showing their dominant side as they routed Manuel Neuer in a fancy style. The defeat of Manuel Neuer is the most embarrassing moment for the German international whom recognize to be the best goalkeeper in Earth right now. Well, I can say that Neuer did his job as a captain and as a goalkeeper. The problem was his defenders. I saw lack of covering the strikers of red devils. An easy 2-1 on halftime plus 2 goals on a span of 10 minutes only for Anderson of Manchester United. Truly the German side lost their composure after that massive 2 goals of reds. Now, a blockbuster showdown for the European's finest football club at Wembley on  May 28.
